Last night during the Monday Night Football game Mr. Haskell and I were debating the following question: Who would score higher on a general intelligence test (like the Wonderlic or IQ)… John Madden or Britney Spears? Discuss amongst yourselves…

Aw, come on... Madden isn't nearly as stupid as Spears.
Think of the playbooks he has studied - in order to understand them, you would have to at least understand an 'if x, then y' relationship, pay attention to details, be able to see that discrete actions work together to create a unified action. All these sorts of things show up on IQ tests. Madden would do okay.
Britney Spears, on the other hand is thick as pig shit.
And that's bad for IQ tests.
Good points desfaber, but I think it would be real close.
Madden has really done anything other than shill Tanactin (sp?), and blubber away into a microphone.
Any intelligence he may have had, is probably in the rear-view mirror.
If Britney's 88 Ford Bronco still had a rear view mirror she wouldn't even find hers in there.
He is still the winning-est coach in NFL history and he did win a Superbowl (although, that only half-counts because it was a Superbowl against the Vikings, so, you know...)
He may well be losing it, but to paraphrase Tennyson, "It is better to have a thought and lost it, than never to have thought at all".
